Over 5,000 metric tons of waste are generated daily in the city of Accra, Ghana. A significant portion comes from the Kantamanto market, which handles discarded textiles not originally from the city. With only 30% of this waste collected due to inadequate resources, the rest ends up discarded and flows into the ocean.
