@sundaramschoolofyoga and their community in Bengaluru for their incredible generosity, allowing me to practice some months alongside them. Special thanks to
@mamathagangadhar_ who, after a time of political, emotional and spiritual crisis that left my practice in conflict, gently pushed me back to my mat and my daily process. This was necessary and it hammered home a truth we must never forget: Teaching is the output, but practice is the source.
To my fellow yoga teachers: When the profession (the certification, the business) and the performative action (the cues, the aesthetics) overshadow the personal process, we fall into the trap. We trade authenticity for approval. The practice that grounds us becomes the performance that exhausts us. What we share is a byproduct of our own exploration, not a script we repeat. Our sharing comes from a mat or whereever the practice happens that's still warm. Never let teaching replace learning and unlearning. Always be a sadhaka.

Besonderer Dank geht an Mamatha, die Gründerin, die mich nach Monaten politischer, emotionaler und spiritueller Krisen, die meine Praxis in Fragmente zurückgelassen hatten, sanft wieder zu meiner Matte und meinem täglichen Prozess zurückgeführt hat. Diese Zeit war notwendig und sie hat eine Wahrheit eingehämmert, die wir nie vergessen dürfen: Unterrichten ist das Ergebnis, aber die Praxis ist die Quelle.
An meine Yoga-Lehrerkolleg:innen: Wenn der Beruf (das Zertifikat, das Business) und die performative Handlung (die Ansagen, die Ästhetik) den persönlichen Prozess überschatten, fallen wir in die Falle. Wir tauschen Authentizität gegen Zustimmung. Die Praxis, die uns erdet, wird zur Performance, die uns erschöpft. Was wir teilen, ist ein Nebenprodukt unserer eigenen Erkundung, kein Skript, das wir wiederholen. Unser Teilen kommt von der Matte oder wie und wo auch immer die Praxis stattfindet, die noch warm ist. Lasst niemals das Lehren das Lernen und Verlernen ersetzen. Bleibt immer Schüler:in.
