Forbidden Teachings is honoured to welcome back Italian artist Nigh/T\mare for the release of his first full-length album on the label.
Across ten carefully crafted pieces, “Through” channels the artist’s singular sound, one that resonates through the bones and awakens what lies dormant within.
Through pain and despair, through love and hope, the album becomes a passage through impermanence itself, revealing the fragile veil that both binds and defines us. Can the soul ever truly break free, or are we destined to remain shaped by these shifting forces?

The Brussels-based duo incorporates heavy, doom-like atmospheres to exalt psychic tension, while channeling occult knowledge and the rage of existence to transmute energy into pits of sound. This debut EP on the cult Berlin-based label aufnahme+wiedergabe — which has become notorious for shaping Berlin’s soundscape and beyond over the last 15 years — is further elevated by a remix from techno titans ORPHX.

2+2=5 is an industrial, techno and experimental producer based in Brussels and part of the duo @a.bodywithout . The project is shaped by questions around morality, occultism and the observation of the modern condition. Each track functions as a response, balancing body-driven rhythms with a more textured, inward approach to sound design. In 2020, he founded @forbiddenteachings , a label created to extend this direction through collaborations with like-minded artists (@codexempire , @perfect.tension or @__mind.matter__ to name a few) ⛓️
