Checking in and it's still there! One of the great things about lifting weights is that it makes skills like this, which I used to have to train super regularly if I didn't want to lose it, feel so much easier, even if I haven't touched it in months. If you're a pole dancer or an aerialist and you're not getting in the gym regularly, you're probably slowing down your progress, and even increasing the risk of overuse injury. It might seem boring at first, but when you start to see those numbers go up, and start throwing skills with ease that used to be a huge struggle, the gym is going to start seeming really fun! #flyingpole #aerialpole #aerialistsofig

Touching base with #pdjaneiro It's back, baby! I have a bad habit with certain tricks of not training them regularly and then having to recondition myself to be able to do them. Specifically with moves that don't come easily to me due to not being very back bendy. I think it's due to a negative association when being taught those moves initially, specifically because the instructors who like to teach them tend to be naturally back bendy and act like it should be incredibly easy for everyone. So they will teach moves like Janeiro with minimal back warm up and act like it's your personal moral failing if you can't do it. Personally I would prefer to learn moves like this from someone who has actually had to struggle and troubleshoot, because they tend to have a much deeper understanding of how the move works and have more progressions and variations for different mobility levels, rather than just telling me to bend backwards more. Like girl I am trying to bend πŸ˜… please appreciate my effort.

Flip your perspective πŸ™ƒπŸ€ΈπŸ»β€β™‚οΈ I think this combo looks so much more graceful and floaty upside down! Did anyone else ever imagine what it would be like if gravity was reversed and you could walk around on the ceiling? #spinpole

Really loved this edgework choreo by @mischkapoledancer but I don't believe in dancing to AI music, so if we're gonna do Gangstas Paradise we're gonna actually do the original. I'm an xennial anyways so this song had an absolute chokehold on everyone in my 5th grade class #pdedgework #poleheels
