lately I’ve been contemplating how much of my work I want to post. Only because there is beauty in creating for it to never be seen but only enjoyed. Or maybe I’ll just grid post for short moments then archive. Just like feelings, I suppose art can be fleeting too. hmm. Anyway here’s a raw moment from when I was coming up with some drills. The difference in variation 1 and 2 seem very small but that’s the point, it’s the little things.

tilt transition idea ! couldn’t repeat/clean, but didn’t want to kill it.. so I let it turn into 2 more combos 🌹 idea # 3 isn’t tricky but I think it’s my fave, because it’d be easy to build into choreo \(^-^)/ 🎶 Ambrosia - @siaynoqband

good things take time ✨ I unlocked my backflip and hunter press in 2020, but it’s only this past year that they stopped feeling scary. Even after performing and teaching them for years, there was always a quiet tension before going upside down. True comfort isn’t just proper technique, it’s self trust. 🙂‍↕️ The way we speak to ourselves shows up directly in our movement. 🖤 I have so much more fun now that the fear is gone.

12.8.25 reflection: ✨ Dance culture often confuses “healthy” with “small”. I’ve had the smallest version of me, and it made recovery slow, injuries prominent, and self criticism loud. It’s taken me a while to learn being lean isn’t always the strongest, the safest, or the most sustainable~~ especially for dancers and high performance athletes. ••• The most common questions I get since starting body recomposition are…. “Does pole feel harder?” Yes and no ❤️ I’m 20 lbs up but I’ve also never felt stronger. “Does it feel heavier?” Hell yeah, I’ve added a lot of dense tissue! But that’s also come with new strength to support it. “Does it feel different than before?” Of course, I’m a whole new b**** 🤣 I’m forever navigating how I wanna move and what is waiting for me. If you’ve been here a while you’ve seen me VERY mentally ill lol. I hope you can see now that change IS possible ✨ Your body knows how to adapt. Stop gate keeping yourself. There’s more waiting for you. Start cross training. Trust her. Feed her. Rest her. Create a new standard of care.
