Last month we celebrated the completion of our short film ‘Ishmael’ with a friends and family private screening in Wellington.
This represented the culmination of years of hard work and it was a treat to celebrate alongside the cast and crew.
Thanks to everyone who came along, to our fantastic producers for making it happen, and our gracious hosts Massey University.
‘Ishmael’ is an enveloping, dream-like picture that lulls and lures into its characters hypnotic delusions. We’re excited to finally share Ishmael’s madness with the world. Wish us all the best for our festival run next year! We’ll be sharing it online with you all as soon as possible.

Last night @bigdogcrosbo was lucky enough to attend the @straight_8_ BFI IMAX screening in person!
It was a surreal and touching experience to see our film House Keeping on the biggest screen in the UK. A real pinch-yourself moment! 🥹
Huge congrats to all of the other amazing from all across the globe! Was fantastic to meet some of them and an honour to have our film shown amongst such a beautiful and mind-blowing curation of genre-defying cinema.
Thanks to the organisers, Ed+Alex+Sim+Co for having us! So grateful to straight8 for the unreal experience. Safe to say we’re hooked, now!
