Hard to believe it’s been 8 years since this release on my label @180proofrecords , licensed to @bbemusic .
I’ll never forget getting a call from Barbara Cox (RIP) of @strata_records asking if I wanted to release a previously unheard Charles Mingus concert recorded at the Strata Concert Gallery in Detroit, 1973.
At the time, I had no idea what the tapes even sounded like. Months of research later — with help from @zacharykirsimae — we pieced together the band and the story behind the recording.
With the blessing of Sue Mingus (RIP), the world finally got to hear it.
And the search continues…
I’m still trying to track down the @herbiehancock concert recorded at the Strata Gallery.

Hey everyone, my IG account, djamir70, has been hacked and removed without my consent. I have tried multiple times to recover it, but nothing that IG recommends is working.
Also, I have tried Google and ChatGPT, but nothing works. I keep getting messages that my account cannot be found.
Apparently, the hackers changed my email, phone, and username for my account, and I cannot access it.
When I posted here about this before, I got a lot of scammers claiming they could help. I think they were the ones who deleted my original post about this!
I really need my page back because, like for so many DJs, this is my de facto CV!
