We would like to invite everyone to come down and celebrate 20 years of 143. Established in 2005, the 143 Liverpool St Familia is a crew comprised of those who have trained at, battled with and shared memories at the local practice spot 143-147 Liverpool St. While people have been practicing at the spot before 2005, the crew was formed in 2005 and has been heavily involved in the wider Sydney Dance Community, organising events, jams, workshops and fundraisers throughout the years. With members from all walks of life, spanning across countries, the crew serves as a reminder for those that have once called the spot ‘home’ during their times with us. He has been more active as a breaker back in the day from New Zealand to Australia. He has helped alongside Hideboo in the creation of Ryugi as well as MCs in the event in general. This man is fiercely strong and does many activities including BJJ so beware. He is the last of the team to reveal in our legendary panel for the 143 LSF 20th anniversary. Introducing one of two MCs... MC Mike Magik: Asia's most recognizable bald headed emcee is heading back to host 143 Liverpool Street Familia's 20th anniversary jam! Been down with the crew since 2007, Mike Magik has been steadily hosting events across Asia, namely Radikal Forze Jam as well as Destructive Steps. Word from the organisers: One of the freshest MCs in the whole of Asia. With his English more American than British he'll tell you to get off the floor once you're done. The man will literally smoke you with words without even touching the floor. Interesting fact is he loves his burgers and steaks, just don't give him Vegemite. This man is a musical instrument capable of expressing music with his body like an instrument 🎸 🎷. Find out at the 143 LSF jam. Kev Dai: My name is Kevin and I've been dancing for the last 13 years, representing the local popping crew 'Furious Crew'. I've been fortunate enough in my dance journey to have competed both locally and represented in overseas competitions, organised community events and also mentored local popping dancers of many different levels. I'm grateful to be on this panel and keen to see everyone get down! Word from the organisers: Word on the street says this man is the humblest man in Sydney. This mans gonna go straight to a showcase after this battle, crazy dedication to the street dance community. Experience the humbling vibes this man has at the 143 LSF jam. Jamie Jazz: Jamie Theam Kha, also known by his artist name Ja.z (jazzy or Jazz for short), Is a Cambodian/Vietnamese Australian dancing for over ten years across a fusion of street styles from breaking, hip-hop freestyle, house and popping. Jamie is a founding member of Riddim Nation (2015), A Sydney-based collective of individuals uniting distinct dance styles, cultures, and ethnicities from around the globe; and also, a member of Hybrid Formz (2003, a longstanding south-western Sydney breaking/popping crew.
