A seed was planted back in 2019 with the dream of one day building a sound system that embodied the spirit of bass music culture. A system that not only sounded incredible, but stood as a work of art in its own right.
Like anything worth growing, the germination process took time. But through patience and careful planning Flora Sound System began to bloom.
Handcrafted and lovingly built by five passionate individuals, Flora was created with a shared vision: to give our community a unique and immersive sound experience rooted in connection, culture, and creativity.
As we prepare for the first official deployment of Flora, we wanted to take a moment to look back at the process — and reflect on how a once small idea slowly grew into reality.

@joenicedj is universally recognized as the ambassador of the dubstep sound in North America, and has remained instrumental in the growth and success of dubstep and bass music for over two decades. Essentially, he played dubstep before the genre had a name. He is North America's first and most respected dubstep DJ and is globally known as one of the most genuine and talented artists in the dubstep community.

Connor Steer aka @steereo_dubz is a toon town local who burst on to the scene as soon as he started mixing just under 4 years ago.
Starting off as a basshouse/uk Bassline DJ it was not long after he discovered his love for the deeper side of dubstep (thanks @jewelz.musique ) and DnB.
Initially making waves on the dance floor promoters and OGs of the scene caught an eye for him and gave him his first chance behind the decks. (Thanks @ryan.neumeier )
From there he has played multiple Sask festivals and has opened up for acts such as @abstraktsonance , @handsome.tiger , @reapernoises and of course Grandmaster Mike @thegaff to name a few.
He plans to bring a heady sound-system focus to the collective.
Only thing you are guaranteed during a STEEREO set is at least one Reload and some Dubs/unreleased tunes.🎶
