Back in the town of Pine City, MN, Kari returns to her 20 year high school reunion carrying the weight of a life she settle for when Peter, the boy who got away, reappears with dreams of rewriting their past. 100 Lives’ version of “The Pavilion” asks: What do we owe our past? Who deserves to be forgiven? It’s beautiful, heartbreaking, wildly funny and nostalgic, with a dash of spooky etherial existentialism. Don’t miss out!

In “The Pavilion” we’ve noticed some trends in this town, this party: the women are allied w/ women, looking out for each other, and their husbands prefer to hang w/ the boys. Underneath the story and themes, the playwright points at marriage a bit, and asks us to look closer at these long-term partnerships - sometimes filled with resentment and just enough habit to keep them going, other times harboring a love that’s still underneath the banal, fighting to be felt.
