Please Instagram, don’t shadowban me for this one!!!! Moeten we de dingen niet gewoon laten zien en horen zoals ze zijn? Morgen gaat PANIC PARADISE (15+) in première in @theaterdekrakeling ; de eerste co-productie van @relnacht bij @studio52nd . Na 22 try-outs voor 15+ (V)MBO’ers, midden in the eye of the storm, ben ik eigenlijk totaal niet meer bang voor wat mensen ervan gaan vinden (volwassenen, i see you). Over sommige dingen moet iedereen z’n plasje doen, and that’s fine. De voorstelling is echt kicken, no cap. Wat me eigenlijk meer bezighoudt, is de energie die ik voel als we met het team praten over hoe we bepaalde expliciete beelden en scènes delen met de buitenwereld. Wat als mensen ze uit hun context trekken? En hoe ga je daar dan mee om? Moeten we statements droppen of juist alle weerstand en haters uitnodigen voor een goed gesprek? I love dit moment in de zaal, wanneer dit scènebeeld verschijnt, en je bijna kunt voelen wat de (soms stiekeme) queers denken: hè hè, eindelijk durft er iemand te laten zien hoe het écht zit. En wat gênant voor jullie allemaal, dat we hier nog om lachen. En vaak doodse stilte. Heel blij met en trots op deze scènefoto van @prinsdevos , zelden gehad dat bijna elke foto als een klein kunstwerk voelt. En sowieso: eindeloos dankbaar voor dit geweldige team along the way @dionisio_matias_ @vandenberghe.saar @joost_maask @pensive2.vivifier @teswoltersbos @lievefikkers @winstonarnon @lynnschutter @bart.coe @laurenswolfva @ricky_hol @jitsje en alle schrijvers!! Mijn dagelijkse sidequest is vooral om ruimte te blijven maken om écht naar elkaar te luisteren, en dat er geen domme vragen bestaan. Want to be honest: hoe voer je überhaupt anno 2026 als puber een gesprek met iemand die je haat? En ja hoor, we gaan natuurlijk ook gewoon weer lekker rellen. Fist pumpen, door een megafoon schreeuwen, je kent me. Kom vooral op de eerste rij zitten in de spetterzone. Zin in ❤️

So, before I officially turn this page to chapter 31… The past year almost broke me and made me go feral. It was the hardest - but also most fun and wild - one so far. It feels like the older I get, the more unhinged and unserious stuff becomes. While slowly feeling like morphing into a privileged barking pitbull, I also stopped giving a healthy amount of f*cks. About expectations, about assumptions. Maybe that’s what happens when you stop pretending you have everything figured out. FYI, I really don’t at this point. 🤡🤡🤡 Loosing or walking away from partners - private and work related ones - takes an incredible amount of force and resilience. Honestly, I did not know I had that in me. Like, can we talk about the chaos of trying to let go of two dear lovers at the same time? Of staying soft and accessible while radicalizing your artistic practice?! Of doing “the right thing” when it feels so wrong? How to hold tenderness in one hand, destruction in the other? How to keep creating while everything is collapsing? So, let’s bounce back baby… I keep thinking about this younger me on a camping after a lot of rain. My 2-year-old nephew saw this picture and said: “Didi crying!” But no no: Didi screaming because Didi having fun!!!!!!!! I am learning my power lies in orchestrated chaos, not in self-sabotage. After all, settling down is a normative hoax. F*ck that shit. I am built for the in-between. Going against the grain. I might forever be the underdog. Woof, woof baby. Happy birthday to the parasites of society you won’t get rid off. Happy birthday to the weed that cracks the pavement. Happy birthday to being unhinged since day one. Scorpio season on blast.

On Saturday morning we take over @maisonthefaux Croque Madame with an extra special (hangover) happening you don’t want to miss! “Deze creatieve hivemind van/met theatermaker Didi Kreike en een wisselende crew acteurs, sound-designers, kunstenaars en nachtcultuuriconen experimenteert met alternatieve tijdsbeelden vanuit een queer/counterperspectief. Klinkt als een hele mondvol, maar wacht maar tot je zo’n 360-gradenperformance tussen je ogen krijgt. We are very happy to announce that our project “Safety Sirens / Is Angela Working Tonight?” is now part of the online catalogue of @insituplatform , the European platform for artistic creation in public space managed by Lieux Publics, Marseille. “The platform is a four-year project supported by the Creative European program. Since 2003, IN SITU has supported over 300 artists, and currently brings together more than 20 partners from 20 countries in Europe and beyond. The platform aims to identify and support emerging artists creating in public space and non-conventional venues in Europe (…) to upscale their work, provide peer-to-peer learning and networking schemes and boost their careers internationally.” In June @0909didi and @lolovondyk travel to Base / Zona K in Milan for their Immersive Lab Residency and pitch the project.
