04sphere is a London based label focussed on preserving sentimentality within garments, exploring attachments within identity. Garments are crafted to connect individuals to our conceptual spheres, often taking inspiration from personal thoughts, feelings and expression. No piece is the same, creating stories preserved in a physical form.
Jack Mattison started the label in 2025 with their London College of Fashion graduate collection titled “Memoir of the Fallen Locks”, taking inspiration from the effects of personal experiences with hair loss and Victorian attitudes towards sentimentality. Collections are often fueled by the designer's desire to re-connect with their femininity, developing a historic, romantic and expressive visual language.

Since graduating, I have been pouring myself into 04sphere, creating reworked t shirts as an entry point product for the brand. Balancing full time work and working behind the scenes on my days off has definitely been challenging, but I'm super excited to now work within this cohort. It feels like a milestone for me and I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to showcase what I have to give. I hope I can make a little community for 04sphere 💌

How can something so ever-present have its significance forgotten? After losing hair due to problems with my health, I realised as each lock of hair fell, I was losing a part of my identity. 'Memoir of the Fallen Locks' encapsulates sentimental attachments surrounding hair, taking inspiration from Victorian beliefs. With each look, a garment within the look has been felted with my hair, my mothers hair and my sisters hair, acting as a preservation of these sentimental attachments.
