I'm Mallie Hellström, the initiator of @030coa , a visual artist and curator. Thanks to my co-curator and the amazing organizing crew, making 030coa together happen again this year, and to all the great participating artists, performers, and musicians. ✨ My artistic practice is based on an impulsiv, intuitive and explorative approach, shaped by emotions, personal experiences, and sociological contexts. I work with mixed media collages and objects, using unconventional materials such as poster fragments, wax and other collected or found materials next to paint paint. In recent years, I have focused on combining abstract painting with collage techniques on canvas. Layering is a central element of my process, alongside the use of strong brushstrokes, fluid colors, and transparent materials.
