@chief_femibranch I need to say something very important about this role and I hope fellow Actors will understand and learn from it. Nobody can play a role you were destined to play! If it's meant for you, you will get it. If you don't get it, then it wasn't meant for you, period! I was considered for this role. Honestly, I felt almost certain I had gotten it until Bolanle Austen Peters informed me that
@kelechiudegbe had been chosen instead and I remember telling her he was a perfect choice and that he was a great Actor. Of course I felt bad I didn't get it as I had wanted to be in the project but I was also glad it went to someone whom I knew was VERY deserving. So you can imagine my joy when I was backstage at the
@afriff closing ceremony preparing to go on stage as the OLUGBO and I heard this fantastic Actor winning BEST ACTOR for a role I almost got! Would I have won that award if I had taken the role? Probably not (and una sha know say am also a good Actor 🤣) but the reason Kelechi got that role was because it was his ticket to getting a recognition he had long deserved, and not even Femi Branch was going to deprive him of that! 😁 I trusted Baolanle's judgement implicitly as an unrivalled talent "appropriator" and as expected, she came thru. So stop beefing people for getting roles which you would love to play. For all you know, that role might well destroy you if you are not well suited for it. Congratulations my brother
