I have always been fascinated by craftsmanship and the skill of hand weaving in textile production. This craft is one of the most ancient surviving craft in the world.
Our new SS21 collection...I803 features a range of exciting quality hand woven fabrics (NJAM) with rousing colours and textures predominantly made out of silk and cotton.
Every pattern has a story. Each colour has a history and the textures represent our ethnicity. This collection and the ambience is a story of ethnic and global history renewed into a millennial folk tale.
Through the design processes, we have been able to develop our own unique blends of colours, warp threads and wafts mixed with our elegant, flamboyant black history and other sustainable fixtures. The raw imperfect beauty of the African artisanal nature have also been captured and cannot be overlooked. Generally, this is the heartbreaking story of the forgotten but also a reminder of who we are and an opportunity to resuscitate the lost skills and celebrate the artisans that made this journey possible.
A special appreciation to all the women who were part of this project from the different parts of Nigeria. Your hardwork and dedication can never be underestimated.
Special thanks to my team;
