I spent the last two weeks at the traditional Babelsberg Studio area for the first time. Many great movies of our time have been shot there, like the excellent #IsleOfDogs (original film set in the photo). I worked at a company called Volucap, that does very interesting stuff well beyond my earlier professional experience.

Every few years there comes a time, when your loyal partner needs some TLC. For me that moment arrived last week in a box with my new GPU.
The card being too big for my current computer case led to a chain reaction, where I realized I must take apart most of my equipment, and reassemble it in a sensible way.
Does it make any sense to have seven computers for one person in a small flat?
I've always been motivated by poverty, and just made the best of what I have. When my friends were buying their first PC's, I got my C64. I could not afford a disk drive, so I mastered the cassette drive head adjustment. Over the years, many dear friends have kindly donated their "cassette drives" to me. You know who you are, thank you so much! And rest assured, your donation has not gone to waste, but is getting the best possible care.
Secondly I was born with a deep appreciation for the ingenuity of man. It hurts my soul to think, that these pinnacles of science would just gather dust in the cellar. Instead, just like my grandfather's boat, with a little maintenance, these parts can still serve their purpose. It feels so much better storing a worthless, yet perfectly working computer, than a box of scrap metal with wasted potential. I've always enjoyed the frankensteiny feeling of bringing something back to life.
Thirdly, our biosphere just happens to be in crisis, and electronic components are a huge part of the problem. As we are being manipulated to buy & discard for profit & convenience, the rare resources end up at waste stations. As I almost never buy anything, I'm being very ecological without having to make any effort. This makes me a virtue signalling tree hugging liberal world lover communist hippie etc. I like myself more for doing this!
I'm very satisfied with the outcome of the project. I now have seven computers perfectly running the latest Windows 10 Pro, and less trash taking up space. The table I calculated shows indisputable pseudo-scientific proof, that almost 10 year old components still bring you over 10% of the joy (and all of the internet). As a bonus, I can now turn my old water-cooling tower into a party punch dispenser.

Bad behavior, like badmouthing people against their back because they disagreed (or pretty much any reason except proven bad behavior).
Defensiveness, like being unable to handle criticism and turning it around on other people.
Egoism, like thinking one's feelings are more important than a common goal, or demanding respect instead of earning it.
Manipulation, like demanding people to pick sides against their own views and trying to influence them towards that purpose with means other than open conversation.
Dishonesty, like cherry-picking facts or spreading interpretations as facts to support one's own opinion, shaming someone without facts because it suits one's agenda, or blaming a technical problem for a disrespectful communiqué.
Looking for the worst, like interpreting most things through some negative presumption, or taking something expressed earlier out of context, re-interpreting and getting retroactively offended by it instead of choosing to address the real issue.
Condescendence, like making a conversation meaningless by talking only semantics and discourse analysis, only analyzing the participants based on scraps of information, or handling an argument like a game of clever exchange without any sincere intention to contemplate on the message of the counterpart.
Arrogance, like assuming people who disagree with you have not yet understood your point and persistently repeating it in other words, or presenting oneself as more intelligent, civilized or virtuous than other people in the room.
