April was a confronting month.
Watching my mom fight for her life, standing so close to the edge, is something that shook me deeply. Seeing her struggle reminded me, in the most raw and real way, how fragile life truly is.
But after her surgery, I saw something even stronger and it is her spirit. The way she fought, not just for herself, but for us⦠for her children, for her family. Even when life isnāt fully in our hands, she showed me what it means to keep fighting for the people you love. That strength, that refusal to give up, was nothing short of remarkable.
Thank you, Mom, for being a fighter. For reminding me that life, at its core, is simple and that we must appreciate and fight for what we truly love and care for.
In that moment and in many others unfolding in my life right now I realized something clearly: losing the people I love is not an option Iām willing to accept. Not now. Not ever.
It made me reflect on what truly matters. Iām no longer searching, comparing, or questioning who belongs in my life. Instead, Iām choosing to hold close the people who are already here, the ones who show up, who stay, who comfort, who love.
Because life⦠life is a short trip. And if youāre not paying attention, it can pass right in front of your eyes.
So now, I choose appreciation. For what I have. For who I have. For the moments, even the hard ones, that remind me how precious everything is.
And if more is meant to come, I welcome it with open arms as long as itās healthy, real, and aligned with who I am and who Iām becoming.
Colombia has me feeling a way I canāt even fully explain. šØš“
This journey made me realize something powerful: the fears that once felt so big were never stronger than my willingness to take action. The moment I dared to move forward, everything changed.
Colombia reminded me that growth doesnāt happen when we stay comfortable, it happens when we choose courage over fear. When we make decisions for our future instead of living with the weight of āwhat if.ā
And today I see it clearly: I am stronger than I ever thought I was.
Sometimes all it takes is one step, one flight, one decision⦠to discover a version of yourself you didnāt know existed.
And by all means, God always got it covered. āØšš½
The vision was always clear.
To the newly crowned Miss and Mister Supranational CuraƧao. Congrats.
Congrats to @supranationalcuracao with your new title holders in the making.
