Once again, level up is about owning YOUR dance 🔥 🚫 Not about learning Hip hop steps that can be applied to Zouk ✅ But about exploring how to enjoy a dance in your own before connecting with a partner, understanding your weight transfer, change of speed and texture, isolating different parts of your body, musicality and so much more.
We had the honor of having @spiderlegionx introducing hip hop to our Brazilian Zouk Level Up players. It was amazing to exchange on these two dances that are so important for us, and it’s a gift to have such a talented artist collaborating with us to share his passions with our students. We knew it wouldn’t be easy and that some people may have been uncomfortable when they learned about this topic. We knew this from the beginning and we believe that’s exactly this discomfort that takes us to a place of growth. I’m really sure this class had a huge impact - by the middle of the class, we could see everybody really giving it all. We couldn’t be more proud!
