Happy new years! This year has been probably my most eventful yet. I'd like to talk about it for a moment.
This year started like most others, without much special in my day-to-day. However it would be sometime in May that a major chain of events would occur. I meant someone who had similiar interests in a band as I did. You know, the "grunge" and all that. Me and this person would go on to start the band Green Fuzz. The starting of this band has no doubt changed my life forever. Our practices and gigs lead me to meeting two really great friends. It was these gigs that also allowed me to really find my energy on stage and opened me up to what I could do as performer and as a musician. It was also this band that allowed me to get comfortable as a 'singer', (if you wanna call what I do singing), and as a songwriter. Though I'm no longer in Green Fuzz, I'll forever be thankful for the experiences that band allowed me and I wish all current members the best of luck.
Maybe one of the most important things to happen this year was that I got into Butler Tech! Something I had wished for so long. Getting into SOA has given me so many opportunities and friends I am forever grateful for. It's because of this school I met one of my best friends, the late, great, Trey King. Along with my other good buddies, Coy, Chris, the beautiful Ethan, and many more that I don't know if Instagram will give me enough characters to mention.
Of course, I also have to mention my friends that have been there since forever. My best friend, Bobby, has stuck beside me for years now and always supported my endeavors. I'm forever thankful for him and my other friends for granting me good times and a shoulder to lean on.
Now with that out of the way I can mention probably one of the best things to waltz into my life. Side Project. Started by three dudes jamming Nirvana, (eventually even their own song that would forever change the course of history as we know it). I can't properly express just how thankful I am for my bandmates, Thomas and King. For being just great musicans, tolerating and indulging my bullshit songs, and for just being amazing friends.
Heres to another fantastic year!
Obligatory Thanksgiving post. This year I've got a lot to be thankful for. Obviously, my family for supporting me and being there for me in my roughest moments. Just as well I owe so much to Bobby, for sticking by me, no matter what he was going through. I won't get too sappy but my life, let alone my year, wouldn't be the same without him. Im also thankful for my band! This like month and a half has been wonderful. King and Thomas my goats! Thank you to all my friends and all my family!
Guess who got to be a scare actor for one night! It was a damn good time, and I had a blast getting to experience it. Really changes how you think. #scary #horror #theyletyouputwhateveryouwantasahashtaglmao
Yesterday, I got to play probably the most exciting show of my career thus far. I had an absolute blast at @chemtopia.cin ! We played an amazing set with some amazing bands! I, unfortunately, forgot to take more pictures of the other bands, but I did snap some of @terrenkrete and @whileawayofficial ! (Both of which were absolutely phenomal and deserve a good listen) we also got to play with @maintenancebayofficial and @stuck_in_autumn , who were also just fantastic! Every band put on an amazing show! It was such an exhilarating night! Thank you to every band and every individual who was there!
Thanks to the wonderful @sasiloreleimusic (check out her stuff on Spotify it's amazing), I got to record some tracks! Here is one of them: a gentle cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
Got to play some amazing shows recently! Last night at Cosmo Joes was an amazing and unforgettable experience. Getting to share a stage with @/cruelsmileinc and @/nuclearsugar_band, two incredibly talented bands, is an honor! I'm fortunate to have such an amazing band!
Two new beautys to add to the collection! One being a replica of John Lennon's Rickenbacker Capri and the other being a mouthful. Funny enough, despite being ordered a month and a half apart, both arrived the same day! Both guitars sound amazing, and hopefully, if I can figure out a good way to, I want to do a Beatles and a Nirvana cover with their respective guitars. #guitar #thebeatles #nirvana
