Hello hello Brittany!!! I am coming to you in May for Art @ KBK in Kerbaskiou! I’m very excited to be exhibiting a series of watercolor and ink pieces I’ve been working on for the last few years entitled “An Unmarried Woman”
The series currently comprises 18 works on paper accompanied by 18 handwritten notes. “An Unmarried Woman” depicts a woman in the 1970s who has a nervous breakdown after her husband walks out on her. Each handwritten note is a diary entry of hers detailing the sordid series of events that follows.
The catch is that all of the images are inspired by actual photographs of Keith Richards in the 1970s, but reinterpreted as a woman. I like to say that this is a feminist piece about Keith Richards.
The exhibition at Art @ KBK will be up from the 21st to 26th of May with an opening party on the night of the 21st. If you’re looking to get away from city life and want to see one of the most beautiful parts of France, come visit and be part of this incredible festival!
