Five years ago I drew 37 quick portraits on zoom as part of a fundraiser for homeless people in Soho, thanks to @theunionclub .
It was a lovely way to build a sense of community - and Iām happy to say that some who volunteered to be part of it would become friends of mine and supporters of my work.

As for the Oscar winnerā¦
Towards the end of the project I received a notification thatOlivia Colman was about to join me on zoom to be sketched.
All at once I felt both:
a) nervous that it might be THAT Olivia Colman and
b) nervous that, if it turned out NOT to be that Olivia Colman, the disappointment might show on my face
It WAS that Olivia Colman and I had a great time talking and drawing - just as I did with everyone else.
Iāve meaning to post this BTS shot for aaaages. This was my first time working with the legends @simonxfrederick (not pictured) and @n.amosjay (very much pictured) on a cute little short entitled āThe Seal of Disapprovalā. Short is now released (link on Simonās bio) so I need to post this or never!!!
