I’m Zoë Clark, a make-up artist with 30 years of experience based in Dublin, Ireland. I specialise in fashion, bridal and occasional make-up. I also teach professional make-up masterclasses and personal, private make-up lessons for individuals and groups. Born and raised in Bangor, Northern Ireland, I attended University College London, achieving a BSc in Anthropology. However, I always longed to go back to my all-time love – art – which, in turn, led me to pursue a career in make-up. After an inspirational period working for MAC in London, I returned to Ireland in 1995, gaining my first experiences on-set with Make Up For Ever, whilst also teaching in their prestigious make-up school in Dublin. Since then, I have built up a wide and varied client list in fashion, advertising, TV and music, working globally on various projects and with many top international photographers. I have written beauty features for magazines and newspapers, shared my expertise on all media platforms, and acted as a spokesperson for many brands. However, I remain unaffiliated with any product line and offer a bias-free, non-intimidating, honest opinion on what works. I take pride in providing a friendly, down-to-earth approach to my personalised and award-winning premium services. Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending a MAC Pro Artist roundtable afternoon tea here in Dublin — and I honestly left on such a high (faith in MAC fully restored! 💄✨) Just as importantly, it was so lovely to connect and catch up with fellow freelance make-up artists. This industry can feel quite lonely at times, so being able to chat, share experiences, learn what’s new and exciting at MAC, and have open conversations about the brand was truly uplifting. We never stop learning — and days like this really remind you why you love what you do. I even felt like I was back home, having worked with MAC in Harvey Nichols, London back in 1994 (so it really is true… once a MAC head, always a MAC head 😜) A huge thank you to @maccosmeticsuki @maccosmetics for remembering us ‘on the ground’ make-up artists again.
