Because how could this not go on the grid. A truly unbelievable moment that could very easily get buried amongst all the other unbelievable moments going on right now.

Still waiting for this to all sink in, it's truly so hard to believe that this show - which we initially wrote for an 80 seat venue for five weeks....is here. I keep thinking about those idiots (see 2nd pic) writing music in each others' living rooms, choreographing numbers in the garden, trying to splice Making a Man together in rehearsal rooms smaller than the wings at the Golden - how their brains and hearts would have simply exploded if they knew this was where it was headed. To even be part of this incredible Broadway community, in this INSANE season of theatre, is an honour. To be recognised among the titans we see represented amongst the nominees is too much to comprehend. We simply must keep our heads down focussing on which pocket our torch is in and which hand is passing which hat to someone else, because right now to look up to the horizon is to stare directly into the sun, ans our eyes may never recover.
To those who saw the spark of something special back then and backed us, thank you. And with each step of this journey we've collected more and more incredibly talented, dedicated people who've got us to where we are right now, so thank you to anyone who has ever worked on this show, this is for all of you. And of course to our audiences - thank you for seeing the show, thank you for spreading the word, we wouldn't be here without you.
And to everyone making theatre in sheds and attics and back rooms of pubs, we see you, we believe in you. Keep doing the thing you love. Make the stuff you want to make, that's all that matters. This one's for you....nerds. xx

Endings are hard. Goodbyes are hard. But this show is also impossibly hard - on the body and the brain - and it's time to sit down.
Hard to contemplate fully what the end of 8 years working on a show, working on our dream actually, feels like. We're not wired to process stuff so big, I don't think. I can just try and let the gratitude in. For every single person who's been part of this journey. For everyone who's cradled our dream as if it's their own, I'm going to miss you all something stupid. For everyone who's bought a ticket, seen the show, told a friend...thank you for everything. No thank you will ever be big enough but that's all I have for now.
Endings are hard, but they also mean new stuff's on the horizon. And if the new stuff can be even half as amazing as this has been, then holy shit I'm a lucky gal.

The first time really that a piece has focussed on the most special, the most magical thing that we could ever have dreamed of as we made this show - our audience. I've said countless times that the thing I'm most proud of will always be the community built around Mincemeat. The friendships formed through a shared love of the thing we just...decided to make up??? The show truly belongs to the fans now, it isn't really ours any more, and that's a huge privilege, especially as we gear up to pass on the torch to a new, all-American gang. Not the end of a journey, but a beginning.
To Taffy, for writing with such heart, humour and vulnerability - you've created a piece which reflects on the page everything Mincemeat is on the stage. I feel so humbled and so so lucky. Thank you for capturing it, thank you for celebrating people who love stuff wholeheartedly and unashamedly, thank you for celebrating fandom and the people who got us all the way to Broadway. We love you all x
(We celebrated with milkshakes, because on days like this, what else can you do but lean in to childlike joy)
