Last week I turned 28 ✨. Now that the year is coming to an end, I’m also tattooing for about 8 years (wow time really flies) so I thought this painting would suit the occasion.
Thank you all for your constant support during the last eight years, I really appreciate every single tattoo I get to make on you beautiful people! 🖤
I won‘t lie, there was a lot of blood, sweat and tears involved to get to where I am today.
I wanted to quit a few times in the first 3 years during my apprenticeship, but I‘m really happy I didn‘t. I pushed through and never gave up. I worked my ass off, went to seminars and conventions, did guestspots etc to give you the best tattoos I could possibly do at the time and I will continue to do so in the future!
I‘m already excited to see what the next eight years will have to offer, there‘s still so much to learn and experiment with!
For this painting I‘ve used fw acrylics and micron pens on 300g Arches cold pressed paper (the green one).

Leonie was sitting like an absolute beast, trying to push past her comfortable pain tolerance but in the end there were just too many details to get it all finished in one session.
At least the second session was shorter because Leonie managed to sit through 80% the first time 😎
Sometimes, no matter how hard we want something, it just doesn‘t work instantly! Some things, like big tattoos, take time (Don‘t even get me started on backpieces). You gotta learn patience, perseverance and discipline to keep at it and get it finished.
I know a lot of you have been very patient this year, working on big projects with me with some giant pieces already in progress for a few years!
I will never take your determination and your motivation for granted and I‘m super grateful for everyone who has supported me on my journey the last 10 years! (Yeah it‘s been already ten years since I started)
Together with your help I‘ll strive to push further and further the next few years!

I‘ve been doing more and more freehand lately, drawing directly onto the skin and I love it! It fits perfectly every time and I‘m pretty sure I get the best flow/composition outcome whenever I‘m drawing directly on my customers ✨

One thing I love about my fujifilm is the fact I can use jpegs straight out of the camera without editing them, makes life a whole lot easier 🤓
Anyway, this was Matthias‘ first tattoo, one shot and the start of a sleeve. We chose a bit more of a „traditional“, simpler look for this sleeve and I love the decision to keep it simple so far.
Can‘t wait to add more to this arm tomorrow!
