ZIMO FW26 Album
ZIMO’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection looks to the family photo albums found in many East Asian homes during the 1990s—the quiet ritual of opening a worn album and feeling old silhouettes, colors, textures, and everyday objects rush back with the immediacy of a living memory. The people and scenes captured in those pages never really faded; they return with a gentle, familiar warmth.
This season’s lookbook is constructed as an album itself. Each look sits on a page as if it were part of someone’s private archive. Flipping through it feels like rediscovering a long-forgotten family book at home, where 90s shapes, prints, and small domestic details resurface with a subtle, time-bridging resonance.
FW26 reinterprets these memories through a contemporary lens. Broad shoulders, oversized lapels, pocket-square gestures, apron-like volumes, and the floral “bedsheet prints” that once filled East Asian households are rebuilt with sharper construction and updated proportions. What was once familiar becomes newly wearable—nostalgia translated into a modern silhouette.
Versatility runs through the collection, with multi-way pieces that adapt fluidly to daily life.
The scarf and neckerchief styling so characteristic of the 90s also returns in a new expression. Here, the scarf is built directly into outerwear—forming a sculptural, functional scarf collar that feels innate to the garment and distinctly ZIMO.
FW26 also introduces a line of lifestyle objects inspired by the charmingly kitschy birthday cakes of the era. Reimagined as candles, these pieces capture the soft, bright, slightly exaggerated sweetness of 90s celebrations, extending the tenderness of memory beyond clothing.
With FW26, ZIMO approaches 90s family nostalgia with a more grounded and emotive hand—bringing past intimacy into the present and allowing the quiet moments preserved in old albums to keep glowing within contemporary life.
