In one week, we start performances of the West Coast premiere of SILVER FOXES. Although this is the 6th production of the play since we started at Uptown Players (Dallas 2023), it’s the first time I’ve directed it. Big thanks to everyone on stage and behind the scene for working so hard on it. Can’t wait to hear the audiences’ laughter (& tears). Tickets are going fast. Very few left for next weekend. Was Monday night’s Tank Theatre Gala in NYC a dream? So surreal hearing such beautiful speeches. Talking about me and my journey. And my lifelong dedication to making people not only laugh but feel. And hopefully think with a wider perspective. It’s going to take awhile to process all that happened. But I definitely felt the love. That will stay with me for a long long time.

8 months ago I worked with @zimmermanstan as the talk-back mental health expert for his Suicide Prevention Play, Right Before I Go. And tonight- his work is being celebrated as the guest of honor at the Tank 2026 Gala. Go Stan!!
Through storytelling, Stan brought together candid, vulnerable conversation across the audience before and after his shows where people shared stories on their own experiences with mental health struggles, suicidal ideation, and ways to support others who are struggling (all while addressing systemic barriers including how discriminatory attitudes contribute to suicide rates).
It was an incredibly unique experience to be a part of- and illuminates how impactful the arts can be in destigmatizing mental health.
