The footy is on, kids are snuggled up beside me and nobody has anywhere to be. These are the moments I want to bottle up forever - the little laughs, the big opinions on every tackle, the tiny hands that keeps sneaking into the snack bowl. 🍿, and the chaos of a house divided over Rabbits vs Dolphins.
GAME ON and kids are cheering for the Dolphins 🐬 while I’m just enjoying my soju 🤪

As I was sipping a complimentary silky iced coffee while fielding 67 questions and multiple unsolicited product reviews, then I remembered.
School. Holidays.
And I genuinely believed it was MY day 😅
Walked in foggy. Walked out…still foggy and with ringing ears but caffeinated.
The coffee was free. My sanity was not.
10/10 would recommend the freebie. Would NOT recommend bringing the board of directors.

We grabbed the Hunter/x meal - nuggets, chips, drink and some kind of purple demon sauce. Thick, creamy and looks like something I’ll pass but the kids absolutely lost their minds over it.
This was survival mode, not substitution. Sometimes being a mum means reading the room, and the room was 2 exhausted, starving kids who had just given everything on the field.
A happy medium on a chaotic weeknight is still a win in my books.

🍂🍇 Back in season and honestly…I can’t resist doing “quality checks” each time I open the fruit chiller.
Fun fact : They’re naturally low-calorie but taste so sweet, which basically means eat more, worry less. 😋 They also stay fresh longer than most grapes, which is a win for busy families!

This National Day, we are celebrating Singapore the tastiest way we know how - through our food.
With a bowl of Mee Hoon Kueh, 面粉粿, this simple hand-torn noodle dish is more than just comfort food. It is a taste of our heritage. The kids had fun stretching, shaping and tearing their share of dough into the soup pot.
And of course, we can’t miss out having kuihs for dessert!
