Am Fr, 19.06.26 spielt RISA TAKEDA live auf der hilda5 Bühne
Zeus B. Held präsentiert Risa Takeda (from Tokyo)
Electronic meets Grand Piano
An experimental - adventurous evening of sounds and Rhythms
A one-off celebration of musical freedom
Risa Takeda
Pianist, drummer, and composer. Born in Hokkaido, began studying classical piano at age 3 and started playing drums at age 19. Moved to Tokyo in 2011. Discovered the fascination of producing sounds spontaneously through an opportunity for improvisation, and has since been deeply immersed in improvised performance.
From around 2014, began incorporating synthesizers and electronic instruments into performances, freely constructing music ranging from ambient and noise to progressive rock.
Highly regarded for the ability to instantly summon the exact sounds that feel necessary in the moment, and has performed over 100 improvised concerts per year with various musicians, in Japan and since 2020 also in Europe.
She did various performances with Mani Neumeier (Guru Guru)
Their concert of 2021 at Tokyo’s Jirokichi-Club has been recorded and is available as CD and streaming/download.
Risa’s work explores the boundary between experimental music and pop.
Her solo albums *Pandora* (2018), *Metéôros* (2019), and *Parallel World* (2024), all released on My Best! Records.
Zeus B. Held played keyboards, sax and things with the German group Birth Control for 6 years as well as writing all the music for Gina X Performance.
He produced albums by Dead or Alive, Transvision Vamp, Men Without Hats, Nina Hagen and more.

Gina X “Strip Tease” music video from 1980 never seen before! Originally released on the album X-Traordinaire and included on our best of compilation “Greatest Fits” Gina says, “My lyrics are an homage to Bastille Day and the celebratory energy of the 1789 revolution.” Producer Zeus B Held says, “This is my vision of night out time traveling in Paris’ Montmartre and Pigalle. To give the track an earthy feel, I used a live trombone mixed with the Mini Moog for the instrumental chorus melody.”
Featuring the fabulous Hinrich Sickenberger and Ralph Morgenstern
Gina X “ Greatest Fits” double LP compilation out today! 17 tracks reflecting the group’s most cherished moments recorded between 1979-1984. Songs explore androgyny, decadence, and avant-garde art in a fashion that is stylish, sexy, and more than a touch transgressive.
The record comes housed in a gatefold sleeve designed by Eloise Shir-Juen Leigh featuring press clippings and photographs, and includes an insert with lyrics and memories about each song.
