SZN ≠ unequal Season “SZN” stands for season — a symbol of change, evolution, and new beginnings. The term, rooted in gaming culture, marks the start of a bold new chapter. “Unequal” — also one of the translations of IMPARI — highlights global disparities and the deep imbalances exacerbated by climate change. The SZN ≠ collection brings these issues into sharp focus, envisioning exaggerated, futuristic seasons shaped by environmental extremes. The collection mirrors the chaos of weather extremes and environmental disasters — calling for urgent reflection and climate action. We captured this story at Jamestown Beach in Accra — once a vibrant, traditional fishing community, now drowning in plastic and textile waste. Fishing here is becoming nearly impossible, a stark symbol of pollution’s growing grip. Through movement, texture, and sound, we transform waste into a powerful statement — turning fashion into a tool for awareness, activism, and change.
