I first released the Serendipity collection in 2018. At that time, my three daughters were still very young, and I wanted to capture the joy of children at play. Strawberries, dandelions, picnics, and little moments of imagination — I simply drew everything I loved, and the process itself was pure happiness. Over the years, so many of you continued to ask about this design, which inspired me to create Serendipity 2. With more experience, the colors and details turned out exactly how I had hoped. Mastering EXPOSED Zipper ✨ Pick a contrasting lining fabric for a pretty accent. Draw a 1/2” rectangle on the wrong side. Adjust the length to fit your pocket. Stitch exactly on the drawn lines. Cut the center and clip into the corners carefully. Turn it through and press well. Add double-sided tape to hold the zipper in place. Place the zipper behind the opening and topstitch around it. Fold the lining in half and stitch the lining only to finish the pocket.
