announcing my home entertainment altar vi installation - created for @peterrcoffin as part of the inauguration of his sugar mill moca project. eventually it will be housed in st. james jamaica but until it portals over there - i am showing it by appointment in my living room through may 10th 🌜🌞🌛
curio cabinets filled with various religious and personal memorabilia - bathed in pulsating light - surrounded by gold and silver mylar mirrors - flanked by two tree of life assemblages created out of abstract sigil paintings and accompanied by a soundtrack of sonic maze ambience and washes of ethereal harmonic chords.
it is a lot like watching tv - come and hang out and have some snacks and or drink some fruit 🍎 ✨ 🤗

red and blue both consist of different physical binaural recording processes of collaged spaces / performances captured with moving sound sources - musically a bit closer to noise. purple is closer to the music ive made in the last 15 years. happy holidays 🎄🥰

Zeljko McMullen (b. February 4, 1980 in Massillon, Ohio) is an artist, composer, filmmaker, and photographer - known for his immersive multi-media projects and through an extensive list of collaborators including Lou Reed, Tony Conrad, Maryanne Amacher, Larry Clark and many others. He co-founded and co-curated the Paris London New York West Nile performance space and gallery in Brooklyn, NY from 2006 until 2010 - and most recently runs the Potamia Gallery - an experimental arts and alternative education space in Woodstock, NY with his partner Nico Alonso.
