Zeitdice cameras are designed to sleep most of the time. 😴 That’s how we achieve incredibly long operation times with a small battery 🔋, solar panel ☀️, and minimal sunlight. The tradeoff? Until now, we couldn’t wake them up on demand for urgent needs.
Well, that’s changed. This video shows me waking up a Zeitvision.live camera from our new portal, and it starts streaming with <1 second latency! 🎥
You can’t see it, but both devices are connected via their own LTE connections 📡—meaning the camera could have been anywhere 🌍, and any authorized user with internet access could have watched the broadcast 👀.
Customers can soon choose between low-latency streaming ⚡️ (at the cost of resolution) or high-resolution streaming 📷 (with a few seconds of latency). The stream can also be recorded and shared online, and streaming can be triggered via API 🔗.
