About the artist:
Sami Voutilainen is a light artist from JyvĂ€skylĂ€ whose works are born from light and movement. He paints with a cameraâlight is his brush and darkness his canvas. Voutilainenâs art explores the human being and the movement of the soul through abstraction. His works do not depict reality but reflect an inner landscape where emotion and form merge. His roots lie in the 1990s demoscene culture, whose digital experimentalism still influences his expression. Voutilainenâs light paintings have been awarded both in Finland and internationally.
Tuomas Virtanen is a Finnish composer and sound artist whose works move between melody and silence, emotion and structure. His music unfolds like a landscapeâat times minimalistic and intimate, at other times grand and cinematicâseeking resonance beyond words. Virtanen combines classical sensitivity with modern production to create soundscapes that invite the listener to the edge of emotion and space. His compositions reflect a deep interest in atmosphere, texture, and the invisible stories that sound carries.

Description of the artwork:
Drifting Silence is a projection mapping work that reflects on solitude and human separation through the figure of the astronaut. Through the interplay of light, motion, and surface, the vastness of space becomes a metaphor for the inner journey. The astronaut embodies the human search for meaning suspended between infinity and longing.
Premiere of all finalist works at JyvÀskylÀ Kirkkopuisto on October 25th from 7-9pm.

Viime viikonloppuna pelattiin taas vuotuiset mökkipokerit Kakskerrassa. Aluksi erittÀinkin kostealta vaikuttanut keli kÀÀntyi iltapÀivÀllÀ parempaan. Loimutuksen sijaan tÀllÀ kertaa lohi savustettiin, eikÀ ollut ollenkaan huonoa vaihtelua se. ItseÀni taas savustettiin peleissÀ siihen malliin, ettÀ voitot jÀivÀt tÀllÀ kertaa saavuttamatta. Lohen lisÀksi tarjolla oli mm. pihviÀ ja jÀlkiruuaksi erinomaista raparperipiirakkaa. MeressÀkin tuli kÀytyÀ.
