Nalani saved up enough points for a daddy daughter date and she immediately wanted to this place. I had no clue what she was talking about or where it was at, but when we finally walked in, I was pleasantly surprised.
What made it even better is that the gentleman working made the experience 1000% betters. Super engaging and hospitality off the charts ! We can’t wait to go back !!

Was feeling very reflected over my delicious breakfast burrito over at Chef Burger 3 on the east side of Simi valley. Tucked in and away from the hustle and bustle of everything else, chef burger reminds us that there is great food every where in our fair city.
As a young man, chef burger became a hub of early morning breakfasts. Whether it be before a wrestling tournament or the morning after if being a menace, Chef Burger was always there for us.

Cooking for mountain bike riders was no small feat, but thank god for road dogs like @baron_of_beef and @jonjuliocastro . They helped me hold it down for 4 days straight, cooking three meal periods a day. In the rain, in the wind and in the shit.
So when we finally landed in @anoodlestory_temecula on our final night, the food hit all the right spots. But was it the food ? or the fact that we had all gone through hell and back together…. I feel like it was both. Some people ride or die and others don’t. We’re definitely gonna miss @baron_of_beef when he moves to Idaho.
Also, if you’re ever in Temecula. Make sure to hit up @anoodlestory_temecula , it was actually extremely delicious and the hospitality was top notch.

Pockets Sandwich Shop was an absolute pleasure to experience and one of the better sandwiches I’ve tasted recently.
Located in an unassuming strip mall off Topanga Canyon Rd, it had all the makings of a classic old school sandwich shop.
The place is unique in that the menu is absolutely huge. No social media not even a website to speak of but still bustling and busy during the lunch hour.
If you’re ever in the valley, it’s definitely worth the stop. What other mom and pop places should I hit up in the valley ?
