Positive affirmations are a now a big part of me and l cannot express how transformative this practice has been.
I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to be kind of yourself. Often, we speak to other people nicely but the rules change when it comes to ourselves. In hindsight, I’ve always been very forgiving of myself and used most opportunities and mistakes to learn. Now, I’m learning to do that even more and most importantly, programming my mind to work with me, love me, adore me, cherish me and be my greatest ally. Our subconscious minds play a key role in our self perception and beliefs, and you can help to shape this through the thoughts you allow your conscious mind to entertain.
If all this doesn’t make any sense yet, just give positive self talk a try and you’d be glad you did. But remember you need to believe your words or at least have an intention to believe the words you say to yourself for them to gradually help you build a strong belief in those words.

Photo dump 📸. Last month, I had an immensely beneficial experience as a participant of a workshop organized by the Young African Activists Network of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung.
Not only did I get an opportunity to learn and share with amazing young Africans on the youth and the democratic disconnect in Africa, I had an incredible time networking and catching up with friends in the network.
It was a great learning opportunity and I look forward to all the amazing things we’ll be working on to ensure that young people across Africa are aware and able to contribute, and actively participate in democracy in their various countries.

We must all learn to provide ourselves with the love, care, and guidance we need to thrive and succeed in life.
Whether you’re struggling with self-love, discipline, self-care, or being compassionate towards yourself, I think it’s vital to provide yourself with the tools to nurture and support yourself like a loving parent would.
I talk at length about this on YouTube. You can watch the full video (link in bio) for tips to help you as you embark on your journey of self-discovery and personal growth! I hope it helps.

Showing up to work alone is not enough. Being visible is increasingly becoming currency, and inadvertently communication is the key to visibility.

Your body is already speaking. The question is: what is it saying?
We're so proud to have Zarina Amandi, founder of Zee Skills Hub, speaking at the Women's Wellbeing Summit 2026.
Her talk, Unspoken Presence: The Hidden Power of Non-Verbal Communication, will explore how the way we show up, hold ourselves and move through space communicates far more than our words ever could.
As Zarina puts it: "Communication is the string that holds us together, the tool that anchors power, how we show compassion, and the means by which we freely express ourselves."
With 15+ years of experience across media, international development and higher education, Zarina is the expert you didn't know you needed.

Like many transformative shifts, AI and the conversations around it won’t reach everyone at the same pace. Too often, girls in Africa are among those left behind, with limited access once progress has already moved ahead.
Which is why this is really a question of access, equity and fair use.
Tonight I’m joining some amazing women for a conversation by @fusaidglobal on how digital and tech platforms, and all of us can do better. Also, how do we ensure African girls are not just consuming AI tools but actively using them, shaping them and influencing how they’re built and shared with the world?
We’ll be live at 4pm GMT (5pm BST).

You can be on the quiet, less talkative, introverted, or ambiverted side and still be able to communicate with confidence, clarity, and presence. It all rests on your messaging, presentation, body language, and trusting yourself and your ideas enough to know they deserve to be heard.
