For Mental Health Awareness Month, this public portrait experience reminded us that community begins with presence, conversation, and connection.

ā¤ļø In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month @zee__zzz has decided to give you a gift!
Mental Health Awareness begins with connection, compassion, and community.
Through portrait photography, written affirmations, and intentional community engagement, the project invites people to pause, be seen, and contribute to a larger visual story about belonging, mental health, and the human spirit.
Join us on Thursday, May 7,
from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at @cityscapephx to have your portrait taken and complete a short affirmation quote card or written reflection. The portraits and written responses may later be featured as part of a larger public art collage or storytelling installation in the DTPHX Community Resource Hub. All participants will also receive a complimentary photo.

Some of us wander off-script, chasing light in unexpected places, rewriting what this moment is supposed to look like. No caps and gowns boxed into predictabilityā¦ just presence, perspective, and a little bit of edge.
Because growth was never basic.

šļøš¤š The numbers are in! Rail ridership jumped 144% at our downtown Phoenix stations last Saturday. Nearly 7,000 boardings were recorded at the Downtown Hub and 3rd St/Washington stations as fans rode rail to the Red Bull Showrun and other events at the Phoenix Convention Center and Chase Field. System-wide, we recorded more than 45,000 boardings for the day.
We can't wait to welcome even more riders for the Women's College Basketball Championship next month! š

The past 4 years Iāve spent New Yearās Day in nature.
Today it was a quiet desert morning beneath clouds and fog wrapping the Superstitions like a blessing. Rain soft enough to cleanse. Earth green enough to remind me Iām alive.
I hike, I pray, I photograph.
I thank the land for its beauty, its protection, its presence.
I begin my year choosing what feels real, grounding, gratitude, and a heart that stays open.
I dedicate this quietly to a soul transitioning today,
