Zedyn Fellows got second in the Mangawhai Bowl Bash jam last weekend in New Zealand, where he happens to also live.
Yeti Coolers sponsors this contest and a best trick on the cooler contest is usually held, which Zedyn promptly won with this “Way Cooler Back Boneless”. Huge congrats to him for a super impressive showing after a long recovery from a way too close encounter with another skater in the bowl in the Rome Italy World Skate Comp last year.
The moment was captured by skate photog Jason King
@anotherjking and we thank him for providing a number great photos of both Mizuho and Zedyn! David Read from Manual Magazine shot the overtweaked Backside Air and the podium photo.
The contest was announced by legendary New Zealand ripper Dave Crabb, who also is one of our long time friends from the 80’s, when him and T-Mag lived together in Mission Beach and traveled the world together.
Young ripper Huddy from Australia won the comp with an impressive barrage of 900 and other spin combos. Zedyn was riding the Hokus Pokus inspired graphic that T-Mag put together with some OG Francesco Albertini art from the 80’s.
We think Zedyn is off to a banging 2026, with an appearance in the Australia Belco Bowl contest in the next couple of weeks and back for revenge in Rome Italy in a couple of months. At some point, we figure that him and his best bud Keefer Wilson will come and raise hell in California too.
