☀️💜ANNOUNCEMENT 🌊🌅 New performance of Memories of the Far Shore at Linnaea's Café on March 20, 6-8pm Our immersive event Memories of the Far Shore (MotFS) is back for a third performance with expanded, crossdisciplinary collaborators across MUSIC, DANCE, and LIGHT. The SOLD OUT show last October at the wonderful The Bunker art gallery was so encouraging that we immediately started planning ways to add to the show, help it reach new experiences, and find new modes of being together within landscapes and art. Hosted in the beautiful historic garden of Linnaea's Café, this performance is the debut of several new collaborators: - The dance duo Dana Lossing & Katie Neville are performing original choreography and improvised movement. - Video artist and production designer Creative Judge is building an immersive projector installation which has been designed specifically for the Linnaea's Café garden. This iteration of Memories of the Far Shore, titled "Springtide", will feature an hour of composed music and sound performed live on percussion and electronics by Aaron Kroeger & bryant keith bayhan, with new variations, additional recordings, and rebuilt arrangements to envelop the audience between five surround speakers. >Tickets available through Eventbrite (link in my bio) or at the door. This performance has more members in a smaller, outdoor venue, so seating is limited and this will be a ticketed event. The Bunker presents On October 30th Memories of the Far Shore A one-of-a-kind immersive sensory experience in music and live performance by bryant keith bayhan and Aaron Kroeger. This show is based on growing up and living near the Baywood Estuary between Los Osos and Morro Bay. The music is a mixture of meditative ambient compositions, vibrant improvised percussion, and detailed field recordings which have been lovingly arranged into an immersive soundscape for surround sound speakers. The evening will be bathed in orange-yellow light to mimic the feeling of the sun setting over the sand dunes near the Estuary–as it falls beyond the western shore and deep past the Pacific Ocean. The music embodies beautiful, natural metaphors of light shining across sand, rising ocean tides, and dense fog through live improvisation and creative sound design with technology. Doors open at 6:00pm Performance is from 6:30pm - 7:30pm Our performance of Memories of the Far Shore is timed to start at sunset and end at the edges of twilight, which means the event will begin at the times listed. Don’t be late, and consider bringing a cushion to relax into your seat or be comfortable on the floor during the duration of the performance. This event encourages the accommodation of different sensory sensitivities and needs. Please bring whatever you’d like to be comfortable for an hour with music that is mostly quiet and minimalistic but occasionally gets very stimulating. This is a Free Event with limited capacity: tickets are not necessary, however RSVP-ing via the link in my bio will help us gauge attendance and make sure we have enough chairs.
