In this feature, we turn the spotlight to one of our studio assistants, Jayar Valdez (
@zedlavjayar ), who drew inspiration from Vadym Yatsun—particularly his sculptural lighting, refined color transitions, and distinct balance between surreal elements and contemporary minimalism, which Jayar aimed to reflect in his own visual approach.
For his concept titled Alaala, Jayar builds a narrative rooted in memory and nostalgia, drawing from beloved Filipino childhood games to explore how these moments continue to shape us, inviting viewers to reconnect with the simple joys of growing up and the experiences that stay with us over time.
