met with the amazing Edna Adan earlier today. As a midwife and a survivor of FGM, she has spent 42 years of her life fighting against the barbaric act. She spoke to me about the physical and emotional impact of FGM on survivors, can't wait to share with y'all.
Climbed mount Snowdon earlier today. It was the most challenging experience but alhamdulillah it was worth it. At the top I actually had tears in my eyes cause I was so scared, the higher you go the narrower it gets, and also the wind was outrageous. I pushed myself and I did it! I'm so proud. Took us about 5 hours to climb to the very top and and about 2-3 hours to get down. The view was spectacular subhanallah.
