I started writing for this record in November ’22, immediately after getting off the ‘If a Tree Falls’ release tour. Since then we’ve released “For a Season” and ‘Terra Expolitum’ featuring the live band, but this new record will be first brand new full length with the band. I’m so incredibly thankful for these guys and am very excited to share what we’ve made.
Additionally, we have a great team behind us for this one: audio engineers, artists, photographers, videographers; all of which understand the vision and are helping us capture it.
There is a lot of work ahead of us and we won’t be able to do it alone; all help would be greatly appreciated. Until then I hope you join me and enjoy a few moments this coming week.
When I started this project 7 years ago I never thought it would leave my bedroom; happy to be here and making noise with it still.

I started writing the first song for the next ZaKrahe record in a teahouse on the lake in Ithaca, NY back in 2022. After eluding me for the past 3 years I finally found the melody in Catskill, NY on another trip with my family.
I’m very excited for life to slow down a bit and focus on this record. 🦊

I’ve had two weeks of very little sleep and should probably be resting, but I can’t get this idea out of my head. I had a pretty cool (and I feel original) take on a love song which inspired this. Pretty fucking brutal, honestly.
I’ve written a few solos for Battle Chapel now and it’s really brought to light how much of an impact Corey has had on me. 16 year old me’s head would explode hearing some these solos I’m coming up with. 🤯
