This day was so fun and memorable this shoot was about 2 years ago in July and the work that everyone put in from the wig to sourcing accessories and props Was super dope and getting to watch @thexgoon put so much thought and care into this made me really wanna make sure the world got to see the start of such a cool concept here is some words from them👏🏾: “None of this would have been possible without the personal and authentic styles of the models. Big shoutout to Onyx for working on the purple wig, skunk stripe extensions, and providing styling pieces as well.” “Inspired by MySpace and pop punk bands (PATD!, FoB, Sleeping w/ sirens etc) my older sister put me on in middle school when she was “going through a phase”. This shoot came from the eyes of admiration, like the little girl who watched her alternative sister and hoped to dress and express herself just as freely one day. If nothing else, I hope this encourages more people to be themselves so hard— it creates a safe space for others to do the same. “MUTUAL CONFLICT” (SWIPE FOR FULL STORY) STARRING: @xwatchyoufallx @whereis_aidan CREATIVE DIRECTION: @zackk.visuals SHOT BY @zackk.visuals In this concept we explore the inner feelings of what it feels like to chase & fight with connections you seek with others here’s a short poem I wrote that I turn to when I feel like I’m having this internal conflict: “When out energy’s clash I shake, all bruised hope and sharpened breath. Every word we trade lands heavy, a strike, a block, a near collapse. It’s slow-motion chaos in a dim-lit room, your silence ricocheting off my ribs. I duck doubt like incoming fire, you counter with a glance that knocks the air out of me Yet I stand tall in the face of fear that this battle brings to me this all ends here right now I will know I fought for that chance” - @zackk.visuals This is 19 photos I have worked very hard on and I am so happy to share with you all Thank Aiden & David for being down with exploring this new medium of creating this is First of many new styles of shoot I will continue to improve upon to better my story telling.
