âWe donât win Lent by keeping our disciplines perfectly. We donât pass the test by performance or knowledge. We pass this test through trust. Trust when we feel hunger. Trust when we feel longing. Trust in the waiting. Trust when we are led where we do not want to go. Trust that we are already beloved, that nothing can add or subtract to that. Trust that Jesus has been there before, and is with you now. Can you imagine if we, and all the world, lived and moved and breathed and operated from that place of deep trust in our beloved-ness? So wherever the spirit within is driving you this Lent, and to whatever wilderness, whatever truth, whatever act of courage, breathe, listen, wait, yield. Yes, act. But above all, trust.â From âTested,â sermon preached by the Reverend Zack Nyein, Senior Associate Rector and Pastor of Imagine Worship, at The Great Litany and Choral Eucharist at 11 am, Sunday, February 22, 2026.#episcopal #sermon #episcopalchurch
