While I was pretty tempted to break my 6 month post hiatus with a shitpost, I figured I'd commemorate many months of feathery hell with something legit. There are more than a thousand individually-patterned, traced, cut, glued and painted feathers stuck on these bad boys, and while I'd still like to go back through and make some adjustments and neaten them up, Hawks's wings are finally done 🙏
I'm so goddamn keen to cosplay more of my favourite birb, I wasn't happy with my wig or makeup for him over the weekend but considering I hadn't done any cosplay makeup in so long I was honestly just grateful I could draw any kind of eyebrow at all let alone this boy's caterpillars 😂 Suede is in the mail for his hero suit and a Sydnova deadline and many (horrendous) shoot concepts with the crew will kick my ass to keep improving so 👀

Yesterday was my first time cosplaying to a convention in over 2 years and I have nfi how I used to do 3 day events with multiple different costumes?? Though I feel a multi-day recovery is just the standard for cosplaying in your mid-thirties hey 🤣 I had an amazing day at SMASH! Chibi catching up with so many people and living the horse girl idol trash life again with the squad, I was genuinely shocked that so many people recognised I was cosplaying Biwa even without the uniform! 💖
