Come with me to shoot a surprise queer proposal in Big Sur!!!!! Yara and I flew from Portland to Big Sur for this one and it was worth every mile. Literally such a dream. This has been a bucket list location forever. Amanda secretly planned this for months. We started talking in September. Pinterest boards, timelines, location scouting, backup plans. The whole thing. Allison had zero idea. Amanda surprised them in the middle of the night with a “pack a bag” trip from Texas to Cali.. Allison thought it was just a getaway. Meanwhile we’re hiding on the cliffs in Big Sur waiting for the love of their life to get down on one knee. We explored Garrapata State Park together after, chased the fog, and did an engagement session on the beach the next day. What started as a client inquiry turned into the most genuine meaningful friendship. They are the sweetest humans and I feel so lucky I get to witness love like this for a living. And meet people like this. They’ve truly become such a big part of my life since and I feel very very grateful.
