Wow! @buckleandboots sure has a lot for me unpack this time! Both mentally and physically (also ‘literally’ with the amount of crap I tend to take with me each year 😂)
What an absolute joy it was playing for @garyquinnmusic , @maggie_baugh , @cjsolar , @chrisamusicofficial and @cwbyall this year! Each set with you all was a special moment, and would do it again in a heartbeat! 🫶
Special thanks to @grainnewhite_ and @jakeoneillvocal for our little busk during the @countryorchestra set at front of house. Definitely a sweet closure to the amount of music I played across the weekend 😁
Massive thanks to the lads of the house band: @anselmo__am , @georgepricebass , @cris.musicuk , @ash.aminy . You all worked your asses off to pull off this crazy feat of learning hours worth of music with zero real rehearsal, meeting the artist then sharing the stage with them moments after. Although it was credited as the Yannick Van Riet House Band (has a nice ring to it 😜) I 100% couldn’t have done it without you guys. Thank You! 🙌
Also worth mentioning the crazy game of “Pass The Guitar” this weekend. @emmazinck , CJ Solar and Craig Wayne Boyd all had a go at one or two of my guitars for their performances. It’s a huge cost and worry for artists to fly with their gear. Airlines often treat it as an afterthought that these instruments are tools that make our livelihood. So I was more than happy to lend some gear to them 🎸
I had a great time with friends of old and new. Looking forward to spending the 10 year anniversary of this amazing festival next year! 🎉

Never have I thought 9 years ago playing the festival for the first time when @backwoodscreek headlined the Paddock stage it would lead to so many opportunities.
Gives me pride every year when I manage the house band for the festival. Backing tons of artists over the years and have since toured with a handful of these artists, some I can call close friends now 🙌
This year is gonna be a beast of a year! Backing some new artists and reconnecting with some old friends from past years. With the added notion of doing the same thing in Switzerland 🔥 @buckleandboots.ch
