We couldn’t rush this one. We had to give it the time and care it deserved.
When @yukay_wrights sent me this script, I said WAIT! I’m holding on to this one for now! We wanted to shoot properly on location and really bring this story to life the way we envisioned it.

I wrote this story after receiving the news that a friend died during childbirth. I didn’t expect that watching it again would trigger me the way it did.
Pregnancy is beautiful, but it is also heavy. Women carry so much, physically, emotionally, mentally, and the least partners, husbands, and men can do is show up and stay present through it all.
This film comes from a place of grief, love, and truth. My hope is that it speaks to hearts, opens conversations, and helps us all learn... and do better! Above all?
