Pieces from the Kama tea kettle master craftsman Seiwemon Onishi and his family are displayed alongside explorations of the House’s collaborations, Spanish heritage, and commitment to the handmade. Craftsman Seiwemon Onishi and his family have been producing the Kama iron kettles traditionally used in tea ceremonies for over four centuries. Working with the aim of safeguarding the heritage of this ancient craft and inspiring future generations of Kama craftspeople, the Foundation curated two distinct exhibitions celebrating their work at the 2023 KYOTOGRAPHIE Festival and the Asama International Photo Festival in 2024. Open from 29 March to 11 May at 6-35-6 Jingumae, Shibuya, Tokyo.
