The other day I was blessed with the opportunity to cover @bastosboysbodega pop-up in collaboration with @bbs.bbs.bbs.bbs.bbs .
As someone who’s just scratching the surface of film, this project pushed me creatively. I had never shot food-driven content before, so stepping into that space was both new and exciting.
But what made the experience special was the people.
From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warmth and a real sense of belonging. something that immediately reminded me of the hospitality and spirit found within Filipino culture.
Grateful for opportunities like this to learn, grow, and tell stories through film.

a year spent sharing moments, milestones & building a life around those who matter most to me.
eternally grateful for every opportunity received, for every moment spent building up those around me, and for the community and places that hold space for me 💫
“If life is a never ending loop of dirty dishes and laundry then that means life is a never ending loop of home cooked meals and comfy clean clothes”
Got a new tripod & decided to take the opportunity to do a lil form check vid! Like to do these every so often to make sure we locked in on movement pattern.
I’m aiming for a 500lb squat PR next year, so always important to make sure your foundation is solid 🤝
more gym clips? maybe a gym phonk edit 💀
POV: It’s your day off, you’re craving curry udon after catching up on your favourite cooking anime so you swing by the store. Beef is mad expensive, but fish balls are on sale. Perfect 👌
You made too much so now you’re eating curry for the week, all is well.

“for the first time in my adult life, I don’t feel like I’m in a rush. I actually feel like I’m right on time” is something I’ve been telling my friends this past year & honestly what a fucking great feeling lmao.
It has been a joy to cook for friends birthdays & graduation parties to experimental themed dinner parties and pop-ups for @bastosboysbodega . This year I REALLY cooked for myself.
But it also has been healing spending time with family, catching up on the everyday with the homies, eating fat plates of food at eastgate and simply just existing.
more of this, more life 🤞🏽

Its Filipino Food Friday #MJFFF and Im featuring a spot that got my attention by the name, BASTOS BOYS BODEGA!
Whenever I see new Filipino food spots or pop-ups Im always curious and with that name, I knew I had to come through!
The menu looked 🔥! at their pop- up at @creditrivermarket . The BROKE BOYS BAON sandwich was my favorite! A house longganisa, fried egg, cheddar, potato match sticks, spicy ketchup and a truffle chive mayo all on some texas toast! YES please!
Inspired by sandwiches made at home growing up as a Filipino-Canadian, Chef Yzzy's menu shows exactly that! A mix of his Filipino roots and food he grew up with.
The PAMPANGA DOG, a hot dog topped with pork belly sisig and all the fixins was a mouthful and their ILLEST MORENA, a grilled chicken adobo sandwich was a great spin on some classic Filipino comfort food.
The KARE KARE SKEWERS were pretty fire as well! I nice rare grill on the beef and basted with some peanut sauce.oh yeah!
Check out their socials to see where thete poppin up next! Its pretty soon!

My friend Minori asked me if I’d be down to throw a lil summer bbq for her & her friends, so of course the boys showed up to slang! 🤟🏽😎
Cooking for private parties is always so enjoyable, it gives us a good opportunity to get personal with our guests and share our love for food! For this one we brought the Asian street market vibes!
Serving up some really fun takes like grilled bossam share plate, fugazy japadogs, salmon yaki onigiri, curry fishballs, garlic butter shrimp, and classic pinoy chicken.
Thank you Minori for the opportunity to show out for your people, we had a blast 🚀
So yeah, we do private parties, if this appeals to you send us a message for any inquires and let’s work 🙏😌
Can’t say thank you enough for the overwhelming support on the first @creditrivermarket of the year 🙏
Our community is so amazing & we look forward to keep hosting events that people can look forward to.
Stay posted for news on the next one come June 🗓️
