Introducing the Youth-Unlocked Cohort 002 The title “Fully Immersed” comes from the idea of artists being deeply dedicated to their craft and completely engaged in the creative process. The sketches, the paint on their hands and clothes and the messy studio all reflect the continuous practice, experimentation and refinement that go into developing artistic work, highlighting how creativity becomes not only a skill but an essential part of an artist’s daily life and identity. The Youth-Unlocked cohort 002 will feature 2 solo art exhibitions by @jasperbinns & @livgracedavis on Saturday, 30th of May and the 27th of June at @studio.two.point E2 7NX in London from 5PM-9PM. Behind the scenes of our media day & Y-U Cohort 002 Cover Shoot Our plan was to go with a much more conceptual approach this time around. As soon as we arrived on set we noticed that we had to completely change our approach to what we had initially planned. We adapted and managed in the end to put something out that feels much more chaotic and random, yet more on theme. Interview with Joe Sookias This interview covers a conversation between Sam, the founder of Youth-Unlocked and Joe, a good friend and talented artist. Taking place at the Studio Two Point in London minutes before opening. Regarding his first solo exhibition, “Slime,” which explores the mental effects and destruction inherent in idolizing celebrity culture. Sookias describes the creative process as evolving naturally from an accidental discovery, eventually resulting in a curated selection of nine paintings that confront viewers with imagery of slimed celebrities. Both Sookias and Sam highlight the Youth-Unlocked program’s role in their development, particularly praising the mentorship of Felix for providing professional insights into marketing and content creation. Behind the scenes of the ‘Slime’ Exhibition by Joe Sookias One week ago we opened the doors to a project which was first discussed over a year ago. The work that went on behind the scenes does not tell the whole story. Last Saturday, we spent close to 12 hours running around and trying to perfect what felt like the tip of the iceberg. In reality, there is no doubt in our minds that @joesookias will continue to go on to break many more barriers and constantly reach new heights! Youth-Unlocked Monthly Overview: May Edition April was an extremely demanding month, with quick turnovers and endless meetings. As we celebrate and conclude the first chapter of the Youth-Unlocked Program, the month of May will present the Youth-Unlocked Cohort 002.
